We would like to inform that in order to meet the expectations of our clients, it is possible to schedule notarial activities outside of the working hours, at the time which is convenient for you, also on other days of the week.

Additionally, under justified circumstances, it is possible to perform notarial activities outside the Notarial Office.

Notarial Acts

According to the Law on Notaries notary public trust is a person appointed by the Minister of Justice to carry out activities which the parties are required or desire to give a notarial form. Notary Public, within its powers, acts as a person of public trust, using the protection afforded to public officials. Notarial acts, performed by a notary public in accordance with the law, are official documents.

In accordance with art. 79 of the act of 14 February 1991 – Law on notaries, the notary performs the following acts:

  • drafting notarial deeds, including: contracts of donation, life annuity contracts, sales contracts, division of joint property, marital property contracts, preliminary contracts, developer contracts, contracts transferring the ownership of property, conditional agreements, exchange agreements, establishment of personal and land servitude, establishment of transmission easement, division of inheritance, cessation of ownership, limited liability company deeds, deeds of submitting to execution, wills, powers of attorney
  • drafting deeds of succession certificates
  • preparing certifications: documents (certified copies, signature confirmations, specimen signatures, certified dates, certifications of the fact that a person stays alive or stays at a specific location)
  • serving statements
  • preparing protocols (including minutes of meetings of shareholders, housing estates, protocols related to the attendance of parties and statements made, as well as, at the request of the appearing party, protocol of failure to appear of the other party)
  • drafting protests of promissory notes and checks
  • taking money, securities, documents and data carriers for safekeeping (notary public can only accept money and securities that are associated with a given action undertaken by the notary office in order for it to be given to a previously appointed person)
  • preparing true and correct copies, abstracts, and excerpts of documents
  • preparing, upon the request of the parties, drafts of deeds, statements and other documents
  • undertaking other actions arising under separate laws or regulations

Notary Joanna Kończyk

Joanna Kończyk began her notary internship training in January 2010. She accomplished it in 2012 and on November 25, 2013, she was appointed to the post, with the seat in Warsaw, by the Minister of Justice. As a person of public trust, Notary Joanna Kończyk guarantees the correctness of the notarial activities and their accordance with existing laws with her conduct and knowledge. Notary Joanna Kończyk provides information in Polish, English, and Spanish.

The Notary Office of Joanna Kończyk is situated in Puławska 2 Street, apartment 34a, near Plac Unii Lubelskiej. The working hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am – 4 pm on Friday. It is possible to schedule another day and hour for notarial activities. The Notary Office provides free WiFi internet access. The Office provides full range of notarial services, performed for all clients.

Notarial Fees

In order to obtain comprehensive information about the amount of notarial fees, please contact the Notary Office. Information and clarification regarding notarial activities is provided free of charge.

Maximum payments for acts executed by a notary are regulated by the ordinance of Polish Minister of Justice regarding maximum rates of notarial fees from 28 June 2004, increased by current VAT rate.

Aside from the notarial fees the Notary Public is required to collect all due taxes (tax on civil law transactions, tax on inheritance and donations) and court fees and to transfer it to the bank account of the appropriate tax office. The amount depends on the subject, type, and value of the agreement.

A party to a notarial act may apply to the court for exemption of the cost associated with signing an agreement. The exemption may refer to both the notarial and court fees.

Payments may be made in cash, or, upon previous arrangement, via bank transfer to the Notary Office bank account.

It is possible to schedule notarial activities outside of the working hours, at the time which is convenient for you, also on other days of the week.

The location of the Notary Office provides convenient access by car or public transportation. Do remember that this part of Warsaw is a paid parking zone - Monday to Friday from 8am to 8pm.
